Romantic Prints.

I love the calm colours of these two old prints that I found in a second hand shop on Friday. They probably date from the 1920's and feature flapper girls in a romantic setting.
Things are not so calm at home. It is half term so it will be interesting to see how much sewing time I will be allowed before my services as a taxi will be required!

Have a great week,
Niki. x

  1. Beautiful prints, Niki! I love anything from the flapper era! You always find the nicest things. We have school vacation week here also, so I know exactly how you feel about becoming a taxi. =)

  2. NIKI,
Pretty prints, where are you going to put them?
I think children should stay in school!! don't they know we have a lot to do? I will be watching and driving kids this week too. My four Grand daughters are off school. I don't usually attempt needlework when they are here. Maybe scrapbooking. And going to the thrift store? Probably only once this week. How will I stand that? HA.

  5. Hi Niki, I love the prints, as usual you have found yourself a great find .... how do you do it?

I know how you feel, we are just back from a wedding and I am so tired ..... but will I get any rest with the half term holiday a foot..... doubt it. It was ever thus.
    Best wishes Ginny

  6. I always admire the things you find on fea and antique markets.

We will be in France this coming week-end and I will of course look for some vintage goodies. Hope I find something nice... ;-))

  9. Another lovely find, Niki! I'm sure you'll find some sewing time at some point during the week, even if you have to take it with you in the car and watch the girls' activities with one eye!

  16. Hi Nancy Jo,
I have a small hallway leading from my back door to the kitchen...this is where my new (old!) prints will hang. I shall look at them everytime I walk into the kitchen....mmmm, that will be a lot then...just as well that I love them!

  17. NIKI,
Would like to see a picture of the prints hanging. What a great find.
If you get time, I went to the thrift store today and needless to say, came home with a whole bunch of stuff. But thought maybe you could give me an idea on what to do with a lot of hand beaded ornaments. Couldn't believe all the work on them and someone didn't want them, Well good for me anyway. To pretty to put away and save just for the Holidays. I posted pictures if you have time to take a look.
